2001 (Sophomore) -- Played in five games as a reserve wide receiver and kick returner... The Wildcats' sixth-leading receiver with 79 yards on two catches with a team-best 39.5 yards per catch average... Averaged 15.8 yards per game receiving... Caught a team-best 72-yard touchdown pass from QB Ell Roberson against New Mexico State (9/22)... Also returned two punts for 22 yards, including a long of 15 yards... Had a seven-yard reception against Louisiana Tech (11/17).
2000 (Freshman) - Played in three games on special teams and as a backup wide receiver... Did not have a catch on the year, but had 13 yards on a pair of punt returns against Ball State (9/16).
1999 - Redshirt season.
Montbello HS - Four-year starter for the Warriors in football and two years in basketball... Lettered three times in track & field... Denver All-City selection... Earned honorable mention all-state honors... Was Montbello's special teams' player of the year three times... Helped Warriors to 8-4 record in 1998... Rated as one of the top 16 receivers in the Big 12 region by the National Recruiting Advisor... All-America pick by PrepStar as the No. 6 receiver in the Big 12 region... Led the Warriors with 39 catches for 556 (14.3 avg.) yards and five touchdowns... Set a school record with a punt return of 93 yards... Averaged 17.2 yards on 13 punt returns (224 yards)... Averaged 27.9 yards on 10 kickoff returns, including one return for 86 yards and a touchdown... Set school records for receptions in 1997 (22) and 1998 (39)... Helped relay team win state title in the 4x100 relay as the leadoff man... High school coach was Louis Wright.
