1999 (Sophomore) - Played most of the season as backup defensive tackle... Saw most significant playing time of the season in regular-season finale against Missouri... Totaled two tackles and two quarterback hurries against the Tigers.

1998 (Freshman) - Saw limited playing time as a backup DT.

Fort Osage HS - Earned first team All-Metro, all-conference and all-area honors by the Kansas City Star as a senior... Was a second team all-state pick in 1996... All-America selection by PrepStar and SuperPrep... All-Big 12 Area pick by the National Recruiting Advisor... In 10 games as a senior, had 42 tackles and five sacks... Lettered four times in track, three times in football and once in basketball... High school coach Jerry Boyce was offensive / defensive coordinator under Jim Dickey at K-State.
