Lettered three y ears at B&B High School under head coach Steve Tiernan... An all-state performer by the Topeka-Capital Journal and Wichita Eagle... Was named the 8-man Division II Player of the Year in 2010 and participated in the 2010 Kansas Shrine Bowl... Earned all-league honors as a tight end and defensive end in 2009 and 2010... Led Falcons to state championships his sophomore and senior seasons and a state runner-up finish his junior campaign... Totaled 30 receptions for 478 yards and 13 touchdowns on offense from 2008-10, while he tallied 115 tackles, including 22 sacks, during that span... Also lettered three years in basketball and track... Was the state runner-up in shot put in 2011... Earned top academic honors in his class.
