2001 (Junior)
2000 (Sophomore) - Played in five games... Finished the season with two carries for 16 yards against Ball State (9/16) and one pass reception for five yards in the Big 12 Championship Game against Oklahoma (12/2)... Named the football squad's Lifter of the Year in the spring by the K-State strength and conditioning staff. 1999 (Freshman) - Saw action in four games, including a start against Missouri in regular season finale... Had one carry for four yards against Baylor.
1998 - Redshirt season... Earned the team's Overachiever Award for strength and conditioning following the season.
Newton HS - Was a three-year starter and letterwinner... Was first team All-Ark Valley League selection and Ark Valley League Offensive Player of the Year... Set school football records for most passing yards in a game, most touchdowns passes in a game and most rushing yards in a game by a quarterback at Newton... High school coach was Ted Jartz... Lettered in track as a junior and senior for the Railroaders... Three-time letterwinner in basketball, earning league MVP honors as a senior and all-state honors as a junior and senior... First team all-league pick in basketball as a junior and senior.
Personal - Born Aug. 28, 1979... Parents are Diana and John Hoheisel... Father, John, played football at Wichita State from 1968-71 and survived the plane crash that tragically took the lives of 14 members of the team and a total of 29 passengers in 1970...
