COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Played two seasons at Hutchinson under head coach Rion Rhodes... Led the Blue Dragons to a 19-5 record over his two seasons and wins in the Salt City Bowl each year... Named the Salt City Bowl MVP in 2012 after moving from receiver to quarterback in the second quarter before throwing for 272 yards and five touchdowns while rushing for another score... Earned Honorable Mention All-Jayhawk and All-Region VI honors in 2011... Played with current Wildcat offensive linemen Terrale Johnson and Jason Lierz.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Louisburg under head coach Gary Griffin... Led the Wildcats to a combined 45-7 record over his four years, including a perfect 14-0 season and a state championship as a senior in 2010... Named an all-league quarterback as a sophomore and senior, while he was an all-state performer at both quarterback and defensive back in 2010 and the state championship MVP... Also lettered three years in baseball, earning first team all-league honors, and four years in basketball.
