Was named the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year by the league's coaches, while also earning First Team All-Big 12 honors from the coaches as a wide receiver and kick returner... Also earned votes for the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year award... Picked up first team all-conference accolades from the Associated Press as both a wide receiver and all-purpose player... Was a candidate for the Biletnikoff and Hornung Awards... Ranked in the top-25 nationally in six categories, placing 11th in receiving yards per game (105.2), 12th in all-purpose yards per game (154.92), 16th in total receiving yards (1,262), 17th in kickoff returns (26.5), 19th in receiving touchdowns (11) and 22nd in receptions per game (6.8)... His national ranking in total receiving yards was impressive considering he missed a game due to injury... Led the Big 12 in receiving yards per game and all-purpose yards, while ranking third in kickoff returns and sixth in touchdown scoring... Teamed with Tramaine Thompson against North Dakota State to have two 100-yard receivers in a game since 2008... His 111 yards against Louisiana made him the first K-State receiver with consecutive 100-yard games to open a season since 2010... Set a then-school record with 237 yards at Texas, a mark he later broke when he went for 278 yards against Oklahoma... His two 200-plus yard games were the top two marks in the Big 12 in 2013, while his yardage against the Sooners was the fifth most nationally and the fourth most in Big 12 history... That total included a 90-yard touchdown reception, which was the second-longest in school history (since 1969)... His 13 receptions against the Longhorns tied for third in K-State history, while his 12 against OU is tied for fifth... Coupled with his 162 kickoff-return yards against Oklahoma, he compiled a school-record 440 all-purpose yards to rank fifth in FBS history... His single-game all-purpose yardage record was nearly 100 yards better (89) than the previous record held by Brandon Banks and Darren Sproles, who broke the NFL single-season all-purpose yardage record in 2011... Also had 333 all-purpose yards against Texas as he held two of the top-five all-purpose yard performances in the nation during the 2013 campaign... Tied the school record with three touchdown receptions against West Virginia, Oklahoma and Michigan in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl... Started 11 games at receiver, ranking second on the team with 44 receptions for 687 yards and a team-high tying four touchdowns... Ranked fifth in school history in receptions and yards among sophomores... Had a career night offensively at West Virginia, setting then-career marks in receptions (9), yards (194) and receiving touchdowns (2)... His 194 yards were the fifth-most in school history at the time and the most by a sophomore receiver in school history... Returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown against Oklahoma State... It was his second-career 100-yard kickoff return, becoming the first player in school history to accomplish the feat... Also a Second Team All-Big 12 performer as an all-purpose player by the Associated Press... Earned First Team All-Big 12 honors from ESPN.com, the Kansas City Star and Fort Worth Star-Telegram... Named a First Team Freshman All-American by Sporting News and earned second-team honors from Rivals... Set the Big 12 and K-State single-season record for kickoff-return average at 35.2 yards per return, a mark that would have led the nation had he met the required minimum of games played... One of 10 players nationally with at least two kickoff return touchdowns and is the first player in school history to return one for a score in consecutive games as he did so at Texas Tech and Kansas... His return against the Red Raiders went 100 yards, which tied the school record, as he earned Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week honors... HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Booker T. Washington High School under head coach Darrell Hall... Named to PrepStar magazine's All-Midlands Region team, while he was a first team all-state and all-metro selection by the Tulsa World... Caught 42 passes for 765 yards and 13 touchdowns his senior season... Also had 54 tackles and six interceptions on defense... Led the Hornets to a 13-1 record and a win in the 5A state title game... Had 279 receiving yards and three touchdowns as a junior, while recording 29 tackles, two interceptions and four pass deflections on defense... Teammates with current Wildcat defensive back Dante Barnett and former offensive lineman Kennan Taylor.

PERSONAL: Tyler Deron Lockett was born September 28, 1992, in Tulsa, Okla... Son of Kevin Lockett and Nicole Edwards... Has three siblings, Sterling, Jacob and Jordan... Father (Kevin) and uncle (Aaron) both played at Kansas State... Kevin, K-State's all-time leading receiver, caught 217 passes for 3,032 yards while playing for Bill Snyder in the mid-1990s... Aaron caught 137 passes for 2,400 yards - fourth on the all-time list - and ranks second in career punt-return yardage... Majoring in business management.
