Collected his first All-America honor by finishing fifth in the 60 meters at the NCAA Indoor Championship (3/9) with a time of 6.67... BIG 12 INDOOR CHAMPION at 60 meters... Clocked a 6.65 in the finals after posting a school-record 6.62 in the prelims (2/22)... Matched that Wildcat record in the NCAA prelims (3/8)... 2000 (Sophomore) - Played in all 14 games, starting game vs. Louisiana Tech (9/2) as a member of Wildcats' nickel package vs. pass-prone Bulldogs... Recorded a career-high five tackles, including career-high three solos vs. Louisiana Tech in his first career start... Scored a touchdown on a 16-yard blocked-punt return against Oklahoma (10/14)... Three solo tackles at Kansas (10/7)... One interception, career-high two passes defensed vs. Ball State (9/16)... Also had 3-0-3 effort against Iowa State (11/4)... Returned three kicks for 44 yards, including 2 for 27 yards at Missouri (11/18).
2000 Wildcat Track - Finished third in the 60-meter dash (6.76) at the Big 12 Indoor Track & Field Championships... Season-best 6.72 in prelims ranked 2nd all-time behind football teammate Aaron Lockett... Had season-best 21.34 in 200... Member of Wildcats' 4x100 relay team that placed fifth at Big 12 Championships.
1999 (Freshman) - A developing backup defensive back who saw action in all 11 games... An outstanding special teams player... Had a 73-yard kickoff return against Baylor... Snagged his first career interception in 66-0 win over Missouri... Totaled eight tackles on the season... Had an impressive spring game with 10 tackles, two passes broken up and an interception that he returned 18 yards.

Central HS - All-Class 5A selection by the Topeka Capital Journal and Wichita Eagle... Listed as one of the top 20 recruits in the state of Kansas by First Down Recruiting... PrepStar All-Region selection... Lettered as a junior and senior in football, three times in track, three times in basketball and once in baseball for the Mustangs... Had 10 receptions for 251 yards and three touchdowns as a receiver... Made 45 tackles, five interceptions and five PBUs on the defensive side... Also returned 13 punts for 271 yards (20.9 avg.) including two for touchdowns... High school football coach was Marvin Diener... Also an outstanding track performer with times of 10.36 in the 100 meters and 21.6 in the 200 entering his senior season.
