2001 (Sophomore) - HONORABLE MENTION ALL-BIG 12 SELECTION by coaches... Chevrolet/ABC Player of Game for `Cats vs. Oklahoma (9/29)... Played 10 games at quarterback, including nine starts... Ranked ninth in the Big 12 and led the team in total offense with a 149.8-ypg average... Totaled 1,498 yards on the season with 855 coming through the air and 643 via the ground... Second on the team in scoring with 56 points... Third in all-purpose yards with a 64.3 yards per game average... The team's second-leading rusher with 643 yards on 142 carries, including a 4.5-per-carry average... Chosen to play in the Texas-California All-Star Game... Lee HS MVP in 1997 and 1998... SuperPrep All-Southwest and All-America selection... Rated as one of the top 3 combo quarterbacks in the Big 12 Region by the National Recruiting Advisor... PrepStar All-America selection as the fifth-rated quarterback in the Big 12 Region... Helped the Gandors to a 27-7 record as a three-year starter, including an 11-2 mark in 1997... Completed 110 of 209 passes for 1,678 yards with 10 TDs, while rushing 148 times for 1,123 yards and 18 TDs for 9-2 squad in 1998... In 1997, threw for 1,868 yards (108-for-216) with 20 TDs and rushed 97 times for 817 yards and 22 TDs... In his high-school career, finished 312-of-617 passing for 4,665 yards, 37 TDs... Personal - Born Aug. 13, 1980... Mother is Alice Godfrey... Two previous quarterbacks at Lee HS were Jermaine Alford, who played at Baylor, and Clint Stoerner, who played at Arkansas and is now with the Dallas Cowboys... Involved with "Communities with Kids" program while in Baytown.

Bowl Performances - Had three rushes for 24 yards in the Wildcats' win over Tennessee in the 2001 Cotton Bowl Classic... Rushed for 18 yards on nine carries vs. Syracuse in the 2001 Insight.com Bowl... Also completed 2 of 15 passes for 70 yards vs. the Orangemen.
