2013 Football Season Ticket Options Announced
March 1, 2013
MANHATTAN, Kan. - Following a Big 12 Championship season in 2012 that included a No. 1 BCS national ranking and a berth in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, excitement is building for K-State's 2013 football season and the opening of the new West Stadium Center at Bill Snyder Family Stadium as athletics officials announced today a full menu of ticket options for the upcoming schedule when season tickets go on sale Monday. "With the grand-opening of the West Stadium Center, our legendary head coach Bill Snyder beginning his 22nd season and raising the flag of another Big 12 Conference football championship, it is an exciting time to be a Wildcat," Currie said. "Last season's fan support was incredible as we tied a school record with six sellouts and achieved the second-highest average attendance in school history. With eight home games in 2013, which includes first-time trips to Manhattan as Big 12 opponents for West Virginia and TCU, it is important to continue to provide our fans with different price levels and options and ensure that Bill Snyder Family Stadium is filled each home weekend this fall." Fans ordering their season tickets may again take advantage of a payment plan option at no extra cost. Those who renew before March 29 can elect to split the cost into five equal payments or four equal installments if received after March 29. It is anticipated that the suite, club, chairback and view level seats will be sold out through season ticket renewals. Locations available to new season ticket holders in May will include premium bench sections along the sidelines of the lower level, bench seating in sections 9 through 20 in the south end zone and sections 424 to 426 on the east side of the stadium. Tickets for the West Virginia and Iowa State games are priced at $65 (premium bench) and $55 (bench), while the Baylor and TCU games will be $75 (premium bench) and $65 (bench). Tickets to the home finale against Oklahoma are priced at $85 (premium bench) and $75 (bench). A four-pack to either the West Virginia or Iowa State game is also available for just $99, but must be purchased by October 1, while four-packs priced at $125 are available for the Baylor (September 1 deadline) and TCU (November 1 deadline) contests. Fans can also order a combo package for $90 which includes a ticket to both the Oklahoma and Iowa State games or a ticket to the Baylor game and either the Louisiana or UMASS game plus a ticket to either the West Virginia or TCU matchup. Special rates, which start as low as $15 per ticket for the Louisiana and UMass games, are also available for groups of 20 or more and can be ordered beginning June 5. A group rate of $20 per ticket is also available for the NDSU, West Virginia and Iowa State games and for $25 per ticket for the Baylor and TCU games. A $20 ticket to the Homecoming game against West Virginia is also available to all K-State Alumni Association members if purchased by September 1. Following the K-State Family Reunion against North Dakota State, which will also include a postgame fireworks show, Big 12 Championship celebration and West Stadium Center grand opening, annual promotional activities in 2013 include University Family Day on September 7 (Louisiana), Band Day and Ahearn Fund Member Appreciation on September 14 (UMass), Harley Day and the K-State Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2013 on October 12 (Baylor), Homecoming and K-State's 150th celebration on October 26 (West Virginia), Fort Riley Day on November 2 (Iowa State), Fan Appreciation Day on November 16 (TCU) and Senior Day on November 23 (Oklahoma).
