MANHATTAN, Kan. – Single game tickets for K-State's seven 2012 football contests at Bill Snyder Family Stadium will go on sale Wednesday, June 6, in an exclusive online sale only at www.k-statesports.com.
Fans can begin purchasing tickets in person or via telephone through the K-State Athletics Ticket Office at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 11. A number of season ticket locations also remain available as sales near record marks in the program’s history.
The Wildcats' 2012 home slate will feature four Big 12 Conference games, including matchups with rival KU and 2011 bowl game winners Oklahoma State and Texas, and a highly anticipated non-conference tilt with ACC member Miami. The 2012 season gets underway Saturday, September 1, with the fourth-annual K-State Family Reunion against Missouri State.
K-State fans have stepped up and shown their excitement for the 2012 season by closing in on a record number of season ticket purchases. Currently, K-State is approximately 700 tickets away from the all-time public season ticket sales record set in the 2001 season. And now, fans can secure their seat in Bill Snyder Family Stadium and provide a sold-out atmosphere through a variety of single game ticket options.
“Ticket sales are certainly indicative of the anticipation for the 2012 football season,” said Athletics Director John Currie. “Not only are we currently running about 3,500 season tickets ahead of same-date sales compared to last year, but we are also approaching a record total. We appreciate the support of our grass-roots fans who travel every week and help provide our student-athletes a world-class experience by filling Bill Snyder Family Stadium each week and look forward to seeing the stands packed with purple this fall.”
Back again in 2012 are several single-game promotions that will continue to provide fans even more flexibility. A limited number of $15 tickets to the home opener against Missouri State will be available for one week only from June 6 through June 13. A four-pack of tickets to either game is available for just $75 if purchased by August 1, while group and military discounts are available for $15 per ticket. K-State will also host both Band Day and University Family Day during the game against North Texas.
The Miami (Harley Day) and KU games will be available for $85 (premium bench) and $75 (bench) per ticket as the Hurricanes make their first trip to Bill Snyder Family Stadium, and the Jayhawks return to Manhattan for the first time since the 2009 season.
Tickets for the Texas Tech (Homecoming), Oklahoma State (Fort Riley Day) and Texas (Senior Day/Fan Appreciation Day) games are priced at $65 (premium bench) and $55 (bench) each, with group and military discounts available for $20 per ticket.
