MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State fans will have their first opportunity to see the 2011 football team on Saturday, August 20, as it hosts the K-State Football Kickoff sponsored by K-State Federal Credit Union.
The public is asked to park on the west side of Bill Snyder Family Stadium before Gates C, D and H open for the event, formerly known as Fan Appreciation Day, at 5 p.m. The ticket window on the west side of the stadium will be open for fans who wish to purchase season and single-game tickets. Additionally, concessions will be available on the west side for drinks and snacks.
Beginning at 5 p.m., fans can watch the final hour of practice before head coach Bill Snyder and team captains address the crowd. Fans will then be able to participate in a one-hour autograph session on the field with all players and coaches. Those participating are asked to limit the number of autographed items to one per person and are encouraged to provide their own item to be signed.
Kansas State opens the 2011 season with the third annual K-State Family Reunion against Eastern Kentucky on September 3. Kickoff for the contest is set for 6:10 p.m.
Season tickets remain on sale for as low as $210 through the K-State Athletics Ticket office, while tickets for the game against the Colonels are available for just $20. Outside of purchasing tickets at the K-State Football Kickoff, the most convenient way to order tickets is online at www.k-statesports.com/tickets. Fans can also purchase tickets by phone at 1-800-221-CATS or by visiting the office inside Bramlage Coliseum.
