K-State Athletics

MANHATTAN, Kan. – For the second straight season, K-State Athletics will participate in the “This Family Wears Purple” football ticket promotion, a partnership with local and regional retailers that will allow Wildcat fans across the Midwest to purchase from a limited number of specially reserved tickets to the November 1 game against Oklahoma State.

K-State fans that purchase $50 or more in K-State merchandise at any of the participating stores below will receive a voucher that includes an online promotional code for up to $35 off each game ticket (limit two) for the Oklahoma State game while supplies last. The voucher will also be available to those who purchase $30 or more in K-State gear at the Lids locations. Ticket quantities, which have been held exclusively for this program, are limited so fans are encouraged to act fast.

Participating retailers for the “This Family Wears Purple” promotion include:
• Fanatics (Official Online Retailer)
• Jock’s Nitch (Topeka)
• Joe’s Sports Time Fan Shop (Wichita)
• K-State Campus Store (Follett)
• K-State Super Store (two Manhattan locations)
• Lids (Manhattan, Topeka)
• Rally House (North KC, Oak Park, Mission, Town Center, Olathe, Topeka, Lawrence, Wichita)
• Super Star Sports (Wichita)
• Tad’s Locker Room (Wichita)
• Varney’s (two Manhattan locations, Salina, Overland Park)

Since K-State entered into its current licensing agreement with Licensing Resource Group (LRG) in July of 2010, licensing royalties for the university eclipsed the $1 million mark for the first time in the department's history and have increased to $1.5 million annually.

Kansas State opens the 2014 season against Stephen F. Austin on August 30, at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The game, which kicks off at 6:10 p.m., serves as the sixth-annual K-State Family Reunion and will be broadcast world-wide on K-StateHD.TV.

Season tickets for the 2014 campaign sold out on June 5. A limited number of scattered singles remain for the KU (Nov. 29) game, while standing-room only tickets are available for the Stephen F. Austin, UTEP, Texas, Oklahoma State and Kansas contests.

Visiting teams will also have opportunities to return unused tickets up to a month prior to their visit. Stay tuned to www.kstatesports.com for information regarding returned ticket availability. All returned tickets will be sold at the full public rate and season ticket wait list accounts will have first opportunity to purchase. Fans can now join the 2015 waiting list online or by contacting the K-State Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-221-CATS or by visiting www.k-statesports.com/tickets.
