Oklahoma State Game Becomes Third Sellout

MANHATTAN, Kan. – For the first time in school history three K-State football games have reached sellout status prior to the start of a season as department officials announced today that all public tickets to the November 3 Oklahoma State game have been sold.
The three sellouts surpass the two that occurred prior to the 1999 season and with limited tickets remaining for the Miami, KU, Texas Tech and Texas games, attendance figures could reach uncharted territory in 2012.
The sellout crowd will be the 11th at Bill Snyder Family Stadium since the 2009 season and mark the eighth time since the 1999 stadium expansion that multiple games will be at full capacity in the same season.
“As I have said so many times, the support of our student body and fan base has always been tremendous and we appreciate them so very much,” said head coach Bill Snyder. “I would also like to commend our athletics staff for a wonderful job of promoting our program and ticket sales as we approach the season.”
Oklahoma State could return a small portion of its visiting team ticket allotment. If available, more details and information regarding these potential tickets will be announced at a later date.
Fans still have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the four additional home games and are encouraged to act now. A limited number of seats remain for each of those contests, including next week’s game with Miami.
To purchase tickets fans can visit the ticket office online at www.kstatesports.com, call the ticket office by phone at (800) 221-CATS, or purchase in person at the Bramlage Coliseum Ticket Office between 8:30 a.m., and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Fewer than 200 student combo passes remain available for the season. Students interested in purchasing the remaining tickets should do so as soon as possible through their iSIS account.
K-State opens the season Saturday against Missouri State. The sold-out contest will kick at 6:10 p.m. and will be broadcast live on K-StateHD.TV.
