Parking Information at Arrowhead Stadium Announced
Sept. 14, 2010
MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State football fans traveling from the west to Arrowhead Stadium for Saturday's Big 12 Conference opener against Iowa State are encouraged to use I-435 for easiest access to the stadium's west-side parking lots designated for K-State.
To help traffic flow smoothly and make parking as convenient as possible, the Kansas City Chiefs are asking K-State fans to enter the Truman Sports Complex through either Gate 5 or 6 on the west side and utilize parking lots F, G, H, J or N. Iowa State fans are asked to enter the stadium on the east side off I-70 at Gates 2, 3 or 4 and park in lots A, B, C, D or L.
Lots will open at 7 a.m., four hours prior to the 11 a.m., kickoff. Public parking fees are $25.
Buses and recreational vehicles should enter at Gate 6 on the west side of the stadium. No overnight parking is available.
K-State fans driving from the west can use I-435 (Exit 411A) southbound around Kansas City into Missouri, then north to Exit 63C, the Sports Complex Exit. Use the Stadium Drive ramp to access Gates 5 and 6.
Fans may also use I-70 eastbound to Exit 7B, the Manchester Trafficway Exit. At exit, turn south onto Manchester and proceed to the stop sign at Manchester and Leeds. To access Gate 6, turn left at the stop sign and go up the hill. To access Gate 5, proceed straight ahead through the stop sign and the gates are on the left-hand side.
To avoid construction on the Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 204-209 at Lawrence, fans driving from west may want to exit at the LeCompton/K-10 Exit (Plaza 197) onto K-10. Stay on K-10 eastbound until it merges onto I-435 in Lenexa. Follow I-435 into Missouri, then north to Exit 63C, the Sports Complex Exit. Use the Stadium Drive ramp to access Gates 5 and 6.
Or, if traveling on I-70 Eastbound, exit at Exit 7A onto US 40 Hwy East. Continue east on US 40 Hwy approximately 2 miles to the traffic light at Stadium Drive. Turn right (south) onto Stadium Drive and enter the complex at Gate 6.
Tickets remain available for Saturday's Big 12 opener for as little as $30 and can be purchased online at k-statesports.com, ticketmaster.com or by calling the K-State Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-221-CATS.
