Brown, Kibble Lead K-State's Midseason Honors

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Arthur Brown and Ray Kibble led a group of eight Kansas State players that received accolades from Phil Steele as the publication announced its midseason All-America and All-Big 12 teams.
Brown was named a first team All-American at linebacker, while Kibble earned third team All-America honors at defensive line. Both players were also named to the midseason All-Big 12 first team.
Brown leads the Wildcats and is seventh in the Big 12 with 38 tackles, while the former Miami transfer has accumulated 4.5 tackles for loss and two sacks. A native of Wichita, Kan., Brown set up a game-winning field goal on Oct. 1, against then-No. 15 Baylor with an interception late in the fourth quarter. Kibble, a senior, has 15 tackles in five games this year, including 2.5 tackles for loss and one sack.
The publication also honored defensive end Jordan Voelker, defensive back Nigel Malone, running back John Hubert, defensive lineman Vai Lutui, linebacker Tre Walker and defensive back David Garrett. Voelker and Malone were named to the midseason All-Big 12 second team, while the other four were named to the third team.
No. 17 Kansas State travels to Lubbock, Texas, to take on Texas Tech on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m., kickoff and will be televised nationally on FSN.
