MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2013 season, k-statesports.com will highlight former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
Arthur Brown, LB – Baltimore Ravens
A second-round selection in the 2013 NFL Draft, Brown made one special teams tackle in Baltimore’s 19-16 loss at Pittsburgh on Sunday. Brown has four tackles in five games for the 3-4 Ravens
Bryce Brown, RB – Philadelphia Eagles
Brown, a seventh-round pick in 2012, earned his fifth career start in Philadelphia’s 17-3 loss to Dallas on Sunday. The running back had two carries for four yards. In seven games, Brown has carded 99 yards on 35 rushes and caught four passes for 48 yards. The Eagles are now 3-4.
Jeromey Clary, OL – San Diego Chargers
A seventh-year offensive lineman, Clary made another start at right guard in San Diego’s 24-6 victory at Jacksonville on Sunday. Clary has played in 94 career games and made 84 starts for Chargers, who are 4-3.
Josh Freeman, QB – Minnesota Vikings
In his second game on the roster for the Vikings, Freeman earned the start in Minnesota’s 23-7 loss at the New York Giants Monday night. Freeman threw for 190 yards on 20-of-53 aim with an interception. Paired with his time in Tampa Bay, the fifth-year quarterback has thrown for 761 yards this season on 63-of-147 passing with two touchdowns and four interceptions. The Vikings fell to 1-5.
Chris Harper, WR – Green Bay Packers
A 2013 draft pick by Seattle who was later signed by the 49ers, Harper was claimed off waivers by the Green Bay Packers last Friday. Just two days after joining the Packers, he played in his first NFL regular-season game, a 31-13 win over Cleveland, but did not record any statistics. Green Bay improved to 4-2.
Rob Jackson, LB – Washington Redskins
Jackson played but did not record any tackles in Washington’s 45-41 shootout win over Chicago on Sunday. Jackson, who played in just his second game of the season, has not registered a tackle this year but intercepted a pass in his first game of the season for the 2-4 Redskins.
Emmanuel Lamur, LB – Cincinnati Bengals
An undrafted rookie free agent in 2012, Lamur was placed on injured reserve by the Bengals prior to the 2013 season. Following a 27-24 win over Detroit, Cincinnati leads the NFC North at 5-2.
Jeron Mastrud, TE – Oakland Raiders
Mastrud and the Oakland Raiders were idle last week. A fourth-year tight end who is in his first season with the Raiders, Mastrud has hauled in three passes for 62 yards for the 2-4 Raiders.
Jordy Nelson, WR – Green Bay Packers
Nelson came away with five catches for 42 yards and a touchdown in Green Bay’s 31-13 victory over Cleveland on Sunday. The Packers’ leading receiver, Nelson has carded 526 yards on 32 catches with five touchdowns as the Riley, Kan., product now has an NFL-leading 27 receiving touchdown since 2011. The Packers are now 4-2.

Terence Newman, CB – Cincinnati Bengals
An 11-year NFL veteran, Newman made five tackles and batted away three passes in Cincinnati’s 27-24 win at Detroit Sunday. Newman now has 34 tackles and nine passes defended for the 5-2 Bengals, who lead the AFC North.
Darren Sproles, RB/Returner – New Orleans Saints
Sproles and the New Orleans Saints enjoyed a bye week in week seven. The ninth-year running back has totaled 769 all-purpose yards, including 366 yards on 32 receptions. The Saints lead the NFC South with a 5-1 record.
Daniel Thomas, RB – Miami Dolphins
Thomas carded a season high 60 yards on 12 carries in Miami’s 23-21 last-minute loss to Buffalo Sunday. The third-year running back who made his first start of the year has totaled 131 yards on 39 carries while he has caught seven passes for 41 yards for the 3-3 Dolphins.
Justin Tuggle, LB – Houston Texans
An undrafted rookie free agent for Houston, Tuggle played in a 17-16 loss at Kansas City but did not record any statistics. Tuggle has four tackles this season for the Texans, who fell to 2-5.
Reggie Walker, LB – San Diego Chargers
Walker, a fifth-year linebacker who is in his first season with San Diego, made two tackles, including a nine-yard sack, in the Chargers’ 24-6 win at Jacksonville on Sunday. In seven games, Walker has 22 tackles with two sacks for the 4-3 Chargers.
