MANHATTAN, Kan. - The K-State Athletics Department has announced details for the sold-out December 1 Fan Appreciation Day game against Texas to thank fans for their terrific support throughout the season.
"Our fans have made a difference over the years for this football program and I appreciate them so very much," head coach Bill Snyder said. "We have such a wonderful group that genuinely cares about Kansas State University, our student-athletes and our athletics program and truly has been an instrumental piece of the success of our football program."
All fans will have the opportunity throughout the game to win prizes from K-State Athletics, Verizon, Manhattan Town Center, the Eye Doctors, Pepsi, Briggs Auto, Clarion Hotel and Sonic.
One lucky fan who emulates one of K-State Football's 16 Goals of Success will have the opportunity to join the team captains at midfield for the coin toss prior to the Texas game. Nominate a fan by emailing a photo and brief explanation to email@example.com on how this K-State fan exemplifies one of the 16 Goals. Nominations are due Monday, November 26.
A special concessions package that includes a hot dog and soft drink, water or hot chocolate will be available at all concession stands for just $5.
Free K-State window decals will also be given away with each purchase at Cats Closet, and select t-shirt styles originally priced from $17.99-$19.99 will be on sale for only $9.99.
Fans will also receive a special discounted ticket price for the men's basketball game against Texas Southern on December 18. All fans with a scanned football ticket will be sent a promotional code to their e-mail address on file for $10 general admission tickets, a savings of $10 off the regular price.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early as the 2012 senior class is recognized prior to kickoff. Tickets are sold-out for the final home game of the season, but fans are encouraged to visit kstatesports.com/bowlgame for information on bowl game ticket preorders.
