MANHATTAN, Kan. - Each week throughout the 2012 season, k-statesports.com will highlight former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.

Brandon Banks, WR/Kick Returner - Washington Redskins
A former undrafted player, Banks totaled 61 all-purpose yards in Washington's 38-31 Thanksgiving Day win at Dallas. The return man totaled 40 yards on a pair of kickoff returns, 13 yards on two punt returns and also caught one pass for eight yards. In 11 games this year, Banks has averaged 24.0 yards per kickoff return and 6.8 yards per punt return, while he has caught eight passes for 15 yards and rushed seven times for 36 yards. The Redskins are 5-6.

Bryce Brown, RB - Philadelphia Eagles
A seventh-round pick in last year's draft, Brown made his first career start a memorable one despite the Eagles' 30-22 loss to Carolina Monday night. The running back set the Philadelphia rookie record with 178 yards on 19 carries with two touchdowns - including one that went 65 yards - while he caught four passes for 11 yards. In 11 games this year, Brown has totaled 319 yards on 51 carries with two touchdowns. The Eagles are now 3-8.

Jeromey Clary, OL - San Diego Chargers
A sixth-year offensive lineman, Clary played in his 75th career game for San Diego - the team that drafted him in the sixth round in 2006 - in the Chargers' 16-13 overtime loss to Baltimore. San Diego is now 4-7 this year.

Zac Diles, LB - Tennessee Titans
Diles, a fifth-year linebacker who has 237 career tackles, was placed on injured reserve last month and will miss the remainder of the year. Diles had 11 tackles for the Titians, who are 4-7.

Josh Freeman, QB - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The fourth-year starting quarterback for Tampa Bay, Freeman and the Buccaneers came up just short in a 24-23 loss to Atlanta. Freeman did not throw a touchdown pass for the first time this season as he went 19-of-30 for 256 yards through the air. In 11 games, Freeman has thrown for 2,761 yards and 21 touchdowns on 199-of-349 passing and has rushed 28 times for 92 yards. He is tied for fifth in the NFL in touchdown passes. Tampa Bay is in second place in the NFC South at 6-5.

Tysyn Hartman, S - Kansas City Chiefs
Hartman, an undrafted rookie free agent, was inactive for Kansas City's 17-9 loss to Denver. The Wichita, Kan., product has two tackles and a pass breakup in five games this year for the Chiefs, who are 1-10.

Rob Jackson, LB - Washington Redskins
A fourth-year linebacker, Jackson started his ninth-straight game, making three tackles for Washington in its 38-31 Thanksgiving Day victory at Dallas. Jackson has 23 tackles, 1.5 sacks, three passes defended and two interceptions in 11 games this year for the 5-6 Redskins.

Emmanuel Lamur, LB - Cincinnati Bengals
Playing in his fourth NFL game, Lamur made three tackles, including two on special teams, as he helped Cincinnati come away with a 34-10 win against the Raiders. The undrafted rookie free agent who spent the first eight weeks on Cincinnati's practice squad, has 13 tackles this season for the 6-5 Bengals.

Ryan Lilja, OL - Kansas City Chiefs
Lilja, a nine-year veteran, made his 99th career NFL start, including his 40th for the Chiefs, in Kansas City's 17-9 loss to Denver. The Chiefs are now 1-10.

Jeron Mastrud, TE - Miami Dolphins
A third-year tight end for Miami, Mastrud played in two-tight ends sets and on special teams - including the game-winning field goal - in the Dolphins' 24-21 victory over Seattle. Mastrud has played in 31 career NFL games - all coming with Miami - which is now 5-6 this year.

Jordy Nelson, WR - Green Bay Packers
Nelson caught two passes for 71 yards, including a 61-yard touchdown catch, in Green Bay's 38-10 loss at the New York Giants. A fifth-year receiver, Nelson has 45 catches for 648 yards and six touchdowns this year. The Packers are now 7-4.

Terence Newman, CB - Cincinnati Bengals
A 10-year NFL veteran who is in his first season with Cincinnati, Newman made four tackles and batted away a pass in the Bengals' 34-10 victory over Oakland. The Salina, Kan., native, who has 598 career tackles and 34 career interceptions, has 56 stops this season to go along with seven passes defended, two picks and one forced fumble. Cincinnati improved to 6-5 to tie for second in the AFC North.

William Powell, RB - Arizona Cardinals
Powell carded 142 all-purpose yards in Arizona's 31-17 home loss to St. Louis. The running back caught a career-high six passes for 63 yards, rushed three times for 11 yards and returned three kickoffs for 68 yards. The NFL's leading rusher during the preseason, Powell has 116 yards on 28 carries during the regular season, while he has caught 13 passes for 102 yards and returned 16 kickoffs for a 25.4-yard average. The Cardinals are now 4-7.

Darren Sproles, RB/Returner - New Orleans Saints
Playing in his first game in a month, Sproles caught seven passes for 65 yards in New Orleans' 31-21 loss to San Francisco. The running back has tallied 388 receiving yards on 46 catches and four touchdowns, 117 rushing yards on 26 carries and has averaged 28.7 yards on kickoff returns and 6.3 yards on punt returns. The Saints are 5-6.

Daniel Thomas, RB - Miami Dolphins
Thomas, a second-year running back, rushed nine times for 60 yards - including a long of 20 yards - and his fourth touchdown of the year in Miami's 24-21 victory over Seattle. The running back also caught one pass for 18 yards. In nine games this year, Thomas has 306 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 83 carries, while he has caught 13 passes for 137 yards. The Dolphins are now 5-6.

Reggie Walker, LB - Arizona Cardinals
Walker, a reserve linebacker and special teams player, played in Arizona's 31-17 loss to St. Louis but did not record any statistics. Walker, who has 10 tackles this year, has 46 career tackles. The Cardinals are now 4-7.
