MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State wide receiver Tyler Lockett and defensive end Ryan Mueller added to their All-America honors Wednesday as both were named Second Team All-Americans by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), the organization announced.

The honor by the FWAA is the second for Lockett this season as he was named an Honorable Mention All-America all-purpose player by Sports Illustrated on Tuesday. Mueller picked up his second second-team designation this year (CBSSports.com) and his third overall All-America honor after also being an honorable mention pick by Sports Illustrated.

A three-year All-American, Lockett enters the bowl season ranked 11th nationally and second in the Big 12 with 104.2 receiving yards per game, while he is 24th nationally and third in the conference with 6.5 receptions per game. He ranks in Kansas State's single-season top 10 for receptions (4th; 71), yards (4th; 1,146), touchdowns (9th; 8) and 100-yard games (T2nd; 6). Additionally, his 151.4 all-purpose yards per game this season rank 14th nationally and are over 22 yards per game better than any other Big 12 player.

Mueller, a former walk-on, exploded onto the scene in 2013 by registering a school-record tying 11.5 sacks and a Big 12-best 18.5 tackles for loss. He has at least one tackle for loss in every game this season as his total ranks ninth in school history. He enters the postseason a half sack away from entering the Big 12's single-season top-10 list and 1.5 sacks from appearing on the school's career top-10 list with 14 career sacks. The junior, who has four forced fumbles this season, ranks 10th nationally in that department while he is sixth in sacks and 11th in tackles for loss.

The Wildcats will face Michigan in the 25th Annual Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, December 28, at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz. The game is set for a 9:15 p.m. (CT) kickoff and will be televised nationally on ESPN. Fans can order tickets through the K-State Athletics Ticket office online at www.k-statesports.com/tickets or by phone at 1-800-221-CATS.
