FRESHMAN (2013-14) Played in 18 games with three starts and carded 166 minutes (9.2 mpg) in her debut season... Averaged 1.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and blocked seven shots... Made career debut against Tennessee State (11/8) by starting and recording eight points, three rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 21 minutes of action... Tallied five points, five rebounds, an assist and a blocked shot against Charlotte (11/10)... Notched seven points, five rebounds and an assist against Grambling State (12/7)... Registered six points and career-highs of seven rebounds and two assists off the bench against UC Santa Barbara (12/15).
HIGH SCHOOL CAREER Ranked as the No. 70 forward in the nation by ESPN Hoopgurlz... Averaged 19.1 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in her senior season... Helped guide Tampa Bay Tech to a district title and 17-10 record... At the conclusion of the 2012-13 season, she was named to the Class 7A All-State First Team, Western Conference First Team and was named to the Tampa Bay Times All-County First Team... She also garnered her team's MVP award for the second straight season... Averaged 20.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.1 blocks while leading the Titans to a 23-3 record, the Class 7A, District 8 title and into the Florida High School state regional quarterfinals in her junior season... At the conclusion of the 2011-12 season, Young was named to the Class 7A All-State First Team, Tampa Bay Times First Team all-county selection and to the Tampa Tribune First Team.
