Kansas State Women’s Basketball Postgame Notes

• Wednesday night’s game between Kansas State and Oklahoma State was the 58th in the series between the schools… K-State leads the series 31-27 and has won 10 of the last 12 meetings in the series including four straight… K-State head coach Deb Patterson, the all-time women’s basketball wins leader at K-State, owns a career record of 332-196 (.629)… The Wildcats, in their 45th season of women’s basketball, own an all-time record of 835-499 (.626)… K-State owns a 218-145 (.600) record in the month of January… K-State is 141-124 (.532) in Big 12 games… K-State is now 5-6 against teams ranked No. 12 in the Associated Press poll.

• The 2012-13 season marks the 25th season of basketball inside Bramlage Coliseum… K-State owns a record of 257-96 (.728) in Bramlage Coliseum… Attendance on Wednesday night was 3,779… Through the first 10 home games of the 2012-13 season, K-State has seen 32,214 fans come through the door for an average of 3,221… K-State ranks 27th in the nation for attendance.

• The Wildcats’ starting lineup consisted of: senior guard Brittany Chambers, senior guard Mariah White, sophomore guard Haley Texada, freshman guard Bri Craig and junior forward Chantay Caron… This is the first time this starting lineup has been used this season… K-State has used seven different starting lineups this season… Chambers has now started 112 regular season and postseason games in her career and has played in 117 career games... White made her 80th career start and her 13th of the 2012-13 season… White has now played in 111 career games… Craig started her 15th career game… Caron made her 24th career start and her 13th this season… She started 11 games in her freshman year of 2010-11… Texada made her ninth career start, all this season.

• Kansas State held a 43-42 halftime lead on Wednesday… K-State is 11-3 this season when leading at the half… Since the 1999-00 season, K-State is 233-37 (.863) in regular season and postseason games when leading at the half… Oklahoma State shot .654 from the field in the first half, which is a season best by a K-State opponent for a half.

• K-State was 16-of-41 from beyond the arc on Wednesday… K-State has made at least one 3-point field goal in 193 consecutive regular season and postseason games dating back to Feb. 7, 2007… The 16 made three-point field goals set the school record, the Bramlage Coliseum record and is tied for ninth in Big 12 history...The 41 attempts marked the seventh game this season K-State has attempted 30 or more 3-point field goals and ranks fourth in Big 12 history for 3-point field goals attempted.

• K-State pocketed 16 steals on Wednesday… The Wildcats have recorded 10 or more steals in 15 games this season… K-State tallied 22 points off of 18 Oklahoma State turnovers.

• Chambers finished with a game-high 26 points, seven rebounds an assist… Chambers has now scored in 116 consecutive games, which ranks third in school history… She has scored 1,747 career points and ranks fourth in school history, passing Laurie Koehn (2001-05; 1,733) on the K-State career scoring list… Chambers has scored in double figures in 18 games this season and 92 in her career… She owns 28 career games with 20 or more points, including 10 games this season… Chambers has led K-State in scoring 13 times this season and 53 times in her career… She was 6-of-12 from beyond the arc on Wednesday night… She now ranks second in school history and tied for second in Big 12 history for career 3-point field goals made with 287… She has now made four or more 3-point field goals in a game 28 times in her career and six times this season… Her career rebound total stands at 721 and ranks 11th in school history… Her career assist total stands at 299 and ranks 11th in school history… With her season-high 45 minutes played on Wednesday, Chambers became the sixth player in school history to surpass 4,000 minutes played in a career (4,026).

• White carded 11 points, five assists, four rebounds and a career-high seven steals… Her 11 points marked her second game in double figures this season and the 11th in her career… Her seven steals, a new season by a Wildcat this season, marked her 49th career game and 11th this season with two or more steals… She has two games this season with five or more steals… White needs four steals to move into 10th on the K-State career steals list.

• Texada tallied 15 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals… This was Texada’s 12th game in double digits this season… The four steals tied her career-high.

• K-State head coach Deb Patterson announced in the postgame press conference that sophomore guard Ashia Woods and junior forward Ashlynn Knoll will miss the remainder of the season due to injuries… Woods started and played in 18 games this season and averaged a career-best 5.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.3 steals… Knoll saw action in 17 games, starting two, in her first season in Manhattan and averaged 4.0 points and 1.9 rebounds.
