$1 Tickets to K-State WBB Game on Jan. 18

MANHATTAN, Kan. - All tickets and select concession items are only $1 when the K-State women's basketball team hosts Iowa State at 7 p.m., on Saturday Jan. 18, for the annual "Pack the House" game. The Wildcats captured consecutive Big 12 titles in the NCAA "Pack the House" initiative in the 2011 and 2012 seasons.

As part of the NCAA's "Pack the House" initiative, K-State is offering all tickets for just $1, which includes all available seating in the chairbacks, reserved bench and general admission seating areas of Bramlage Coliseum. To purchase tickets, please contact the K-State Athletic Ticket Office at (800) 221-CATS or visit www.kstatesports.com.

In addition, designated concession items will be sold for just $1, including: pretzels, popcorn and select chips and  candy, which will be available at all of the main concession stands on the Bramlage concourse.

Beginning at 6 p.m., on the Bramlage concourse, Willie's Fun Zone will be open to the public including a free photo booth, face painting, pictures with Willie the Wildcat and more. In addition to these activities, members of the 2013 Big 12 Championship baseball team will be signing autographs for fans. The team will also be recognized during the game.

At halftime of the game, fans will be entertained by The Magic of JP Wilson. The Magic of JP Wilson has been featured at a number of NBA, WNBA, NBA D-League and NCAA halftimes. Earlier in the day, K-State men's basketball will host West Virginia in Bramlage at 12:30 p.m. The 1964 Final Four team will be recognized at halftime. Tickets are available for as low as $15 with the purchase of a general admission Wildcat 4 Pack. A separate ticket is required to attend both games.

K-State will be looking for its third Big 12 titles in the NCAA "Pack the House" initiative, as the Wildcats captured the 2011 and 2012 crowns. K-State hosted 9,024 fans on Jan. 9, 2011 against Oklahoma State, a 63-45 win over the Cowgirls in the Big 12 home opener for the Wildcats. On Feb. 4, 2012, K-State hosted No. 1 Baylor in front of a sold-out crowd of 12,528 fans.

Under head coach Deb Patterson, the Wildcats own a record of 40-10 (.800) when the attendance inside Bramlage Coliseum is 7,500 or larger.

The NCAA "Pack the House" initiative is in its seventh year of existence and was created to assist in growing the game of women's basketball. NCAA member schools can select any game from the start of competition on Nov. 8, 2013 until the close of regular season action on March 8, 2014.

Participating schools compete against one another within their own conference and against all Division I schools for a chance to be awarded the 2014 NCAA Women's Basketball Pack the House Challenge Champion. This will be the fourth year that all of the Big 12 Conference members will participate in the initiative.
