MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State women's basketball and head coach Deb Patterson will host four camps this summer for a variety of age groups and experience levels. The camps will be offered during the month of June and one in the month of July and will feature current and former Wildcat players among the camps' counselors while also receiving instruction and guidance from the K-State women's basketball coaching staff. All four camps will take place at Bramlage Coliseum and K-State's new $18 million Basketball Training Facility.

The first camp of the summer is the Team Camp on June 11-13. It is open to any and all high school varsity, JV, sophomore and freshman teams as well as any summer club teams. This is an opportunity for these teams to continue to play together over the summer months and face competition that may be different from what they might see during their regular season. The past two summers, teams from Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri, and Illinois have taken part in the camp. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt upon arrival.

The cost for the Team Camp is $185 for a resident and $130 for a commuter. One coach per team receives free admission and complimentary room and board for resident camping teams. Additional coaches will cost $75 for resident or $30 for a commuter. The registration deadline for the K-State Team Camp is May 29.

The second camp will be the Elite Camp on June 13-15. This has grown into one of the top camps in the country. Players will be pushed competitively by other elite players and will receive instruction on how to sharpen the skills that will make them a better basketball player. This camp is for high school players only.

The price of the Elite Camp is $210 for a resident and $185 for a commuter. For both options, a non-refundable deposit of $50 is required at registration. The deadline to register for the Elite Camp is May 30. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt and a K-State basketball.

The third camp of the summer will be the Overnight Camp on June 24-27. This camp is for kids ages 8-15 and is a great camp for elementary, middle school and freshmen girls who have a desire to grow as basketball players and learn more about the game. The camp also provides a number of activities off the court including pizza in Bramlage Coliseum, skit performances and a night of swimming. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt and a K-State basketball.

The cost of the Overnight Camp is $330 for a resident and $290 for a commuter. For both options, a non-refundable deposit of $50 is required at registration. The deadline to register for the Overnight Camp is June 11.

The final camp of the summer will be the Day Camp on July 16-19. This camp is for kids ages 7-14 and focuses on the basic fundamentals and techniques of basketball. The camp will include skill instruction, position work, competitive drills and games. Campers will also have the opportunity to compete in special 3-on-3 games, foul shooting, hot shot, hustle awards and ball handling competitions with finals and awards on the last day of camp. Campers will also have swimming opportunities during the week.

The cost of the Day Camp is $200 for a commuter. A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required at registration. The deadline to register for the Day Camp is July 2.

Kansas State women's basketball concluded its 44th season of action during the 2011-12 season with the program's 13th appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats' appearance in the NCAA Tournament was the 10th visit to a postseason tournament in the last 11 seasons.

The Wildcats recorded the 23rd 20-win season in school history and the ninth under head coach Deb Patterson's guidance, while tying for fourth in the Big 12 standings after being tabbed for a ninth-place finish by the league's coaches in the preseason poll. K-State advanced to the semifinals of the Big 12 Championships for the second straight season and were tabbed as a No. 8 seed in the 2012 NCAA Tournament. For the seventh time in its last eight NCAA Tournament appearances, the Wildcats reached the second round of the tournament with a 67-64 win over No. 9 seed and No. 24-ranked Princeton.
