MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State women’s basketball and head coach Deb Patterson will host three camps this summer for a variety of age groups and experience levels. The camps will be offered during the months of June and July and will feature current and former Wildcat players among the camps’ counselors and guidance from the K-State women’s basketball coaching staff. All three camps will take place at Bramlage Coliseum, K-State’s new Basketball Training Facility and the K-State Rec Center.

The first camp of the summer is the Elite Camp on June 20-22. This has grown into one of the top camps in the country. Players will be pushed competitively by other elite players and will receive instruction on how to sharpen the skills that will make them a better basketball player. This camp is for high school players only.

The price of the Elite Camp is $260 for a resident and $240 for a commuter. For both options, a non-refundable deposit of $50 is required at registration. The deadline to register for the Elite Camp is June 10. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt and a K-State basketball.

The second camp of the summer will be the Overnight Camp on June 20-22. This camp is for kids ages 8-15 and is a great camp for elementary, middle school and freshmen girls who have a desire to grow as basketball players and learn more about the game. The camp also provides a number of activities off the court including pizza in Bramlage Coliseum, skit performances and a night of swimming. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt and a K-State basketball.

The cost of the Overnight Camp is $295 for a resident and $280 for a commuter. For both options, a non-refundable deposit of $50 is required at registration. The deadline to register for the Overnight Camp is June 10.

The final camp of the summer will be the Day Camp on July 15-19. This camp is for kids ages 7-14 and focuses on the basic fundamentals and techniques of basketball. The camp will include skill instruction, position work, competitive drills and games. Campers will also have the opportunity to compete in special 3-on-3 games, foul shooting, hot shot, hustle awards and ball handling competitions with finals and awards on the last day of camp. Campers will also have swimming opportunities during the week.

The cost of the Day Camp is $200 for a commuter. A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required at registration. The deadline to register for the Day Camp is July 2.

Kansas State women’s basketball concluded its 45th season of action during the 2012-13 season. Playing with seven players for the final 19 games of the 2012-13 season, Kansas State reached the postseason for the 11th time in the last 12 seasons by appearing in the 2013 WNIT. The Wildcats advanced to the semifinals of the WNIT for the third time in the program’s four appearances in the tournament.

In addition to its five signees for the 2013-14 season, K-State returns five players that saw significant action in the 2012-13 season, including sophomore-to-be Bri Craig and junior-to-be Haley Texada.
