K-Staters say what they are thankful for this year

2010-11 English
Was one of three English riders for the Wildcats to earn a Varsity letter in 2010-11...Named Hunter Seat MVP as well as Hunter Seat Most Outstanding Junior at the 2011 Wildcat equestrian year-end awards banquet...Finished the 2010-11 season with an overall record of 8-6-1, including three match-MVP honors which was tops on the English team...Kicked off the fall season by knocking off Auburn's Anna Shierholz and South Dakota State's Leslie Sauter in week one...Picked up match-MVP honors for her performance against her Georgia counterpart on September 25... Defeated Danielle Gersh of SMU, 72-67, for her third win of the season... Bested Baylor rider Kara Fergusson, 79-73 to pick up her second match-MVP award...Rode past Logan Holler of South Carolina on October 29... Was victorious over Texas A&M riders Elizabeth Solch and Marisa Bernal in week one and week two of the spring season, respectively...Picked up her third match-MVP honor in her win over A&M's Bernal...Defeated Baylor's Taylor Brown, 157-144 in the Consolation round of the 2011 Big 12 Championships...Participated in the 2011 Varsity Equestrian National Championships...Named team captain for the 2011-12 season.

2009-2010 English
Ended the season with an overall Varsity record of 4-5... Defeated Texas A&M rider Maggie Earle, 74-72 to pick up her first varsity win of the regular season... Picked up her lone exhibition win by riding past Meghan Adams of Georgia, 70-61... Participated in the Big 12 Championships, where she picked up a first round victory over Brittney Dodson of Texas A&M, 153-123... Was selected to participate in the Varsity Equestrian National Championships... Came away with a 1-3 record in the VENC.

2008-09 English
Finished the season with an overall record of 3-7-1 on the flat... Picked up her first win on the season by riding past Georgia's Lauren Kulwicki, 59-57, on 9/20/08...Finished the year strongly by winning her last two competitions against Elizabeth Solch of Texas A&M and Cara Wilson of Baylor... Awarded the K-State Most Outstanding Freshman Athlete in the Hunter Seat Division.

Born May 7, 1989 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada... Daughter of Colin and Sherrie Patterson... Majoring in Anthropology... Father was an All-American hockey player at Clarkson who also played in the NHL and won the Stanley Cup with the Calgary Flames in 1989.
