MIAMI, Fla. - The Kansas State women's golf team fell two spots to finish in 12th at the Hurricane Invitational on Tuesday at the par-71, 6,107-yard Deering Bay Yacht and Country Club Golf Course.

The Wildcats notched a 51-over par 335 in the third round to earn a 54-hole score of 114-over par 966.

"It was a very poor outing for us today," said head coach Kristi Knight. "But it is just one event, and there is now an opportunity for us to learn from this and move forward."

Whitney Pyle remained consistent throughout the tournament carding an 8-over par 79 in the final round to finish in a tie for 27th.

"Overall the team was not sharp, but Whitney managed the tough conditions of the course pretty well." Knight said.

Gianna Misenhelter fell eight spots to finish in a tie for 34th, tallying a 54-hole score of 25-over par 238.

Competing as an individual, Ami Storey notched a 35-over par 238 to finish in a tie for 54th.

Olivia Eliasson fell five spots carding a 54-hole score of 38-over par 251 to tie for 65th. One stroke behind Eliasson was Hanna Roos who finished in a tie for 69th.

Paige Osterloo finished with a 42-over par 255 to tie for 74th.

Host school Miami tied with No. 16 Ohio State for the top spot on the leaderboard, tallying a 54-hole score of 66-over par 918.

Georgia State's Charlotte Lorentzen finished in first with a 6-over par 219, one stroke ahead of James Madison's Ginger Mak.

The Wildcats will be back in action March 23-24, as they travel to Tucson, Ariz., to compete in the Mountain View Collegiate hosted by the Arizona Wildcats.
