TUCSON, Ariz. - The Kansas State women's golf team finished in fourth place after firing a final-round 289 in the Mountain View Collegiate at the par-72, 6,277-yard Mountain View Golf Club on Saturday. The Wildcats were led by junior Gianna Misenhelter, who tied for eighth, after carding a 2-under 70 in Saturday's final round. 

"It was a good day for us with Giana tying for eighth, Carly Ragains tying for 14th and Olivia Eliasson tying for 20th," said head coach Kristi Knight.

 Ragins recorded a 3-over 219, including an even-par 72 on Saturday's final round. Eliasson also carded an even-par 72 to end the event at 4-over 220.

Rounding out the scoring lineup for the Wildcats were seniors Whitney Pyle and Hanna Roos. Pyle tallied a 7-over 223 to tie for 34th, while Roos carded a 11-over 227 to finish in 46th place. Playing as an individual, freshman Scotland Preston fired a 10-over 226 to tie for 43rd place. 

Texas Tech notched a 6-under 258 on the final round to edge San Jose State by one stroke to take home the team title, while Texas State's Krista Puisite won the individual championship after recording a 7-under 209.

K-State will be back in action when it heads east to compete in the Briar's Creek Invitational, March 25-26, at the Briar Creek Golf Club in John's Island, S.C.
