Round Three Results

NORMAN, Okla. - The Kansas State women's golf team moved up two spots on the leaderboard to finish in a tie for ninth place in the third round of the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic at the par 72, 6,327-yard Jimmie Austin Golf Club on Tuesday.

The Wildcats notched a 20-over par 308 in the third round for a final 54-hole score of 49-over par 913.

"The conditions were difficult to play in, but it was also nice to move up the leaderboard," head coach Kristi Knight said. "We struggled a little bit putting, but overall the players did their best."

Whitney Pyle finished in a tie for 32nd and led the Wildcats with a 54-hole score of 12-over par 228. One stroke behind Pyle was Ami Storey, who tied for 45th.

Gianna Misenhelter improved from Monday's play by five strokes to card a 6-over par 78. Misenhelter finished in a tie for 51st with a 54-hole score of 14-over par 232.

Paige Osterloo fell in round three, shooting a 10-over par 82 to tie for 62nd at 16-over par 234. Hannah Roos finished one stroke behind Osterloo to tie for 68th.

Host school, No. 23 Oklahoma, climbed to the top of the leaderboard and finished with a 14-over par 878. The Sooners edged Texas Tech by one stroke.

Oklahoma's Anne Tanguay held her spot in first and finished with an impressive 6-under par 210. Kimberly Kaufman of Texas Tech notched a second-place finish tallying, a 3-under par 213.

Kansas State will be back in action Oct. 23-24, when the Wildcats travel to Kiawah Island, S.C., to compete in the Palmetto Intercollegiate for the final event of the fall season.
