K-State Wraps Up Fall Slate at UNLV

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Kansas State women’s golf team finished the fall slate in a tie for 11th on Tuesday at the UNLV Showdown at the par 72, 6,230-yard Stallion Mountain Golf Club.

The Wildcats turned in a final round score of 13-over par 301 to finish with a 54-hole score of 59-over par 923.

Indiana finished atop the leaderboard with a 54-hole score of 30-over par 894, three strokes ahead of second-place UCF and four strokes ahead of host school UNLV.

Ally McDonald of Mississippi State and Elizabeth Tong of Indiana finished in a tie for first in the individual competition with a 54-hole score of 2-under par 214.

Whitney Pyle and Carly Ragains led the way for the Wildcats, as each player carded a 54-hole score of 12-over par 228 to finish in a tie for 29th. 

Hanna Roos notched a 3-over par 75 on Tuesday to finish with a 54-hole score of 15-over par 231 to tie for 38th.

“Today was a better day for us,” said head coach Kristi Knight. “We had three solid scores and a great effort from all of the team. After a disappointing second round, I am proud of the way the team came out and played today.”

Olivia Eliasson turned in a 54-hole score of 22-over par 238, while Gianna Misenheleter finished with a 24-over par 240.

The Wildcats will be back in action in the spring when they travel to Peoria, Ariz., to compete in the Westbrook Spring Invitational, Feb. 24-25.
