MANHATTAN, Kan.--The Kansas State women's golf team will travel to Rhodes, Iowa, April 19-21, to compete at the Big 12 Championship at the par 72, 6055-yard Harvester Golf Club, with 18 holes to be played each day.
K-State will send the scoring lineup of Whitney Pyle, Olivia Eliasson, Gianna Misenhelter, Carly Ragains and Hanna Roos, marking the fourth consecutive tournament the Wildcats will send this lineup.
"We are excited about the Big 12 Championship," said head coach Kristi Knight. "The ladies practiced well and are looking forward to it. Trust and good course management are the keys for us."
Pyle, who leads the team in stroke average at 76.14, has recorded three top-20 finishes, two top-10 finishes and one top-five finish this season. She turned in a 54-hole score of 18-over par 234 to finish in a tie for 26th at the DAC Invitational.
Eliasson looks to continue her successful spring as the sophomore has earned three consecutive top-20 finishes with a 54-hole score 15-over par 231 at the DAC Invitational.
Misenheleter led the Wildcats last time out turning in a score of 13-over par 229 to tie for 13th, marking her fifth top-20 finish of the season.
Ragains finished in 46th with a 54-hole score of 27-over par 243, while Roos notched a 35-over par 251.
The Wildcats will be joined in the field by Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas and Texas Tech.
K-State finished eighth at last year's Big 12 Championship, with its best finish coming in 2009 when Coach Knight guided the Wildcats to a fourth-place finish.
