MANHATTAN, Kan.—The No. 54 ranked K-State women’s golf team heads west to Las Vegas, Nev., to participate in its final event of the fall season at the UNLV Showdown Oct., 21-23, at the par 72, 6,230-yard Stallion Mountain Golf Club.
The tournament will consist of 18 holes each day, with a 7:30 a.m. (MT) start Sunday and Monday, and a 7:45 a.m. (MT) shotgun start on Tuesday.
“This is another great field, and it is a new event for us,” said head coach Kristi Knight. “We are close to really putting together some good team scores. It is time to step up and get it done. We need to play with confidence, forget our bad shots and stay in the moment.”
K-State will send the scoring lineup of Carly Ragains, Hanna Roos, Olivia Eliasson, Whitney Pyle and Gianna Misenhelter to Las Vegas, marking the third consecutive week the Wildcats have used this lineup.
Ragains is coming off her second top-20 finish of the fall slate, as she led the Wildcats with a 54-hole score of 6-over par 222 to finish in a tie for 11th.
Roos finished with a 17-over par 233, while Eliasson turned in an 18-over par 234.

K-State will be joined in the field by Colorado State, Fresno State, Idaho, Indiana, Kennesaw State, Long Beach State, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Missouri, New Mexico State, North Texas, Penn State, San Diego State, UNLV, Washington State and Wisconsin.
