MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas State women's golf team will finish its fall season Sunday through Tuesday at Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown at the par-72, 6,230 yard Stallion Mountain Golf Club in Las Vegas.

The 54-hole tournament will consist of 18 holes on each day with a 7:30 a.m. (PT) start on Sunday and Monday followed by a shotgun start on Tuesday at 7:45 a.m. (PT).

"This event is a great opportunity for us," head coach Kristi Knight said. "I have been pleased with practice and qualifying. It will be important to have composure throughout the event and keep it simple."

For the second tournament in a row, Kansas State will send the scoring lineup of senior Gianna Misenhelter, juniors Carly Ragains and Olivia Eliasson, freshman Katherine Gravel-Coursol and sophomore Scotland Preston.

Last year at this event, the Wildcats carded a 59-over par 923 to finish in 11th place. Ragains, placed the highest among the Wildcats returning to Las Vegas, finishing at a tie for 29th with a 12-over par 228. Eliasson fired a 22-over par 238 to finish at a tie for 69th while Misenhelter followed closely with a 24-over par 240.

"We did not play well at this event a year ago," Knight said. "The team is looking great in practice and hoping to improve on that effort from last year."

Kansas State will be joined in the event by Denver, Fresno State, Furman, Idaho, Long Beach State, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, Texas Tech, UC Irvine, UCF, UNLV and Wisconsin.

Indiana finished atop the leaderboard last season with a 54-hole score of 30-over par 894, three strokes ahead of second-place UCF and four strokes ahead of host school UNLV.
