Athlete Q&A What has rowing taught you about yourself? When I first started rowing I wasn't sure if I would be an asset to the team. Being on the team has taught me that the only person that can hold you back is you. Rowing has allowed me to get out of my head and to just focus on finishing what needs to be done.
What was it like to walk on to the team? I was very intimidated because I was a third year transfer student from CA with no college athletic background. I felt like I didn't belong but I pushed through it and ended my first year in the 1V.
What is your favorite memory from this past season? During our last race of the season we beat Tulsa in the last 250 meters of the race to claim 3rd overall in C-USA. We were all dead but it was the best feeling in the world.
