As a freshman (2002-2003): Finished with an overall record of 17-15, including 5-5 in the Big 12 and 13-9 in dual matches...Posted a dual record of 0-1 at No. 2...Had a 9-3 record vs. Central Region opponents...Had a pair of upsets in the NCAA regional finals, beating No. 110 Andrea Yung of Northwestern, 6-4, 6-1 and No. 113 Beatriz Cabrera of Virginia Commonwealth, 6-3, 7-6 (5)...Won six straight matches between Jan. 24 and Mar. 1, losing just one set in those six victories...Was undefeated in February, winning four matches...Beat Texas Tech's Tara Browning twice, once in the Arizona Thunderbird Invitational this past fall and again March 1.

Posted a 4-6 fall record...Was 3-2 at the Arizona State/Thunderbird Collegiate Invitational...Teamed with Petra Sedlmajerova in doubles and had a 4-1 record...Pair beat Beverly Dawson and Irina Tereschenko of Texas Tech, 8-3 when the Lady Raiders were ranked No. 38 in the preseason ITA rankings.

VENEZUELA: Member of the Fed Cup pre-team for Venezuela and was the top junior singles and doubles player in Venezuela in 2001...Played on the COSAT Junior Tour for four years and was a quarterfinalist at the Simon Bolivar Cup in 2000 and 2001...Highest International Tennis Federation junior world singles ranking was No. 234 in 2001 and No. 177 in doubles in 2002.
