ATHENS, Ga. – Kansas State women’s tennis put together a strong outing on the second day of the Georgia Invitational recording four doubles wins and five singles wins at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

Sophomore Petra Niedermayerova registered her first win of the spring with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Karoline Grymel of Troy. Niedermayerova, ranked No. 15 in the ITA national singles rankings, is now 14-4 this season.

A two-time All-Big 12 selection, Niedermayerova owns a career singles record of 62 -27 (.697). Niedermayerova needs three singles wins to move into fifth on the K-State career singles wins list.

Senior Karla Bonacic notched a hard-fought 7-6 (7), 6-4 win over Hannah Toro of Troy. Bonacic owns a career mark of 59-36 (.621). The product of Split, Croatia, needs four singles victories to move into sixth on the K-State career singles wins list.

Niedermayerova and Bonacic teamed up to register a pair of doubles wins on Saturday. The No. 34 ranked tandem tallied an 8-4 win over No. 18 Courtney Collins and Kelly Gray of Memphis to start the day. To close out the day, Niedermayerova and Bonacic defeated Karolina Grymel/Lyubov Dorofeeva of Troy, 8-2. The duo is now 8-4 when paired together this season.

Kansas State will complete play at the Georgia Invitational on Sunday, as the Wildcats will face Memphis in singles play.
