AS A SOPHOMORE (2001): Saw action in 10 matches and 18 games as a middle blocker... Made one start during the year... Collected 16 kills (0.89 per game) on a .189 hitting percentage... Recorded nine total blocks for an average of 0.50 per game... Saw her first action of the year against No. 5 Hawaii (Aug. 31) at the Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Classic, where she played one game with no stats...Compiled her first career kills with two on .333 hitting, along with a pair of digs, in a four-game loss to No. 7 UCLA (Sept. 1)... Played her finest match of the season in a pivotal five-game win over Missouri on Sept. 26... Totaled a season-best seven kills on .600 hitting with a team-best and season-high six blocks, including the match-winner in game five... Notched a season-high eight digs in a three-game sweep of Iowa State (Nov. 3)... Also added four kills on .250 hitting against the Cyclones.

At HUTCHINSON HIGH SCHOOL (1996-2000): Letterwinner in volleyball all four years at Hutchinson High School in Hutchinson, Kan. ... Four-year starter for the Salt Hawks... Twice named 6A first team all-state by Kansas Sports Magazine... Twice named first team all-AVL including a unanimous selection her senior season... Earned second team all-league honors as a sophomore... Two-time team most valuable player for Hutchinson... Owns eight career and five single-season and single-game volleyball records at Hutchinson... Owns career marks for games played (310), total kills (1,136), kills per game (3.67), kill percentage (41.0), total digs (354), total blocks (350) and service aces (135)... Owns single-season and single-game records for kills per season (426 in 1998), kills per game (5.4 in 1998), kill average per game (10.0 in 1998), kill percentage per season (44.0 in 1998) and blocks per season (111 in 1999)... First player in Hutchinson school history to reach 1,000 career kills... The Salt Hawks won an average of 20.5 matches per season, winning sub-state titles in 1997 and 1998... Part of the 1997 Hutchinson team that finished as the Class 6A state runner-up with a school-best 32-6 record... Also a tremendous basketball player for Hutchinson where she lettered all four years as a forward... One of two players in Class 6A-5A to average a double-double her senior season... Ranked first in the state in field goal percentage (54.9), second in rebounding (10.1 rpg.), fifth in scoring (14.3 ppg.) and sixth in blocked shots (1.5 bpg.) as a senior... Has two sisters, Heather, 29, and Holly, 23... Holly graduated from K-State in 2001 with a degree in public relations... Holly played basketball for two years at Johnson County Community College... Is majoring in human ecology.
