MANHATTAN, Kan. - The K-State volleyball team will compete in a series of scrimmages and tournaments this spring, including a match against Creighton in Ahearn Field House and three tournaments in the Kansas City area. The spring slate of matches runs from the end of March through mid-April.
The spring schedule starts with a training session and scrimmage with Creighton on March 29. The Bluejays of the BIG EAST will practice with the Wildcats during the Wildcat Volleyball Coaches Clinic before squaring off in a scrimmage at 1 pm in Ahearn Field House.
On April 4, K-State will face the Heart of America Havoc Pro Team at 6 pm. The match will be held at the Heart of America Volleyball facility in Kansas City. Havoc, a professional team that competes in the USA Volleyball-sanctioned Premier Volleyball League, features former Wildcat JuliAnne Chisholm (Rathbun).
Saturday, April 12 will hold the K-State Tournament from 9 am-4 pm at Blue Valley West High School in Stilwell, Kansas. The tournament will feature Illinois (split-squad), Wichita State (split-squad), Kansas, UMKC, Arkansas State, Missouri State, Drake, and Saint Louis. Teams will be placed in three pools with a detailed schedule to be released at a later date.
The Wildcats' spring schedule concludes on Saturday, April 26 with the UMKC Tournament on the campus of UMKC.
