MANHATTAN, Kan. – With the 2014 season fast approaching, season tickets for the new K-State Volleyball season will go on sale starting on Monday, April 14, K-State Athletics officials announced.
For less than $3 per match, Wildcat fans can take part in another exciting season of K-State Volleyball in Manhattan. Season ticket holders receive exclusive benefits, such as an invitation to the season ticket holder appreciation event and participation in the roll-over ticket program, which allows fans to redeem unused tickets for general admission seats to future matches.
“Our season ticket holders and entire K-State Volleyball fan base provide an incredible home-court advantage that is one of the best in the Big 12, for which we are very proud of,” said K-State head coach Suzie Fritz. “We are excited to share a new chapter of Wildcat volleyball with our fans in Ahearn Field House in 2014, and look forward to the action-packed atmosphere created by all the K-State faithful.”
Chairback season tickets are $100 and available to Ahearn Fund members only. The chairback season tickets are expected to sell out for the fourth straight year, so interested fans who are not already members of the Ahearn Fund are encouraged to join for as little as $50. Prospective Ahearn Fund members can call (888) 232-9074 or visit www.ahearnfund.com for more information regarding member benefits.
Other seating sections at Ahearn Field House include Cat Cushion (south balcony only) and General Admission bench. Cat Cushion season tickets are $65 for adults and $55 for youth, senior citizens, military and Kansas State University faculty. General Admission tickets are $50 for adults and $40 for youth, senior citizen, military and Kansas State University faculty. General Admission Wildcat 4 Packs, which include four General Admission tickets to each home match, are $120.
Fans are encouraged to purchase their season tickets early. For those that purchase season tickets by the Early Bird deadline on May 30, the $10 processing fee will be waived per each account. The Priority Seating deadline is June 30, which means for fans that purchase by this date will receive first priority for requested seats, based on athletic department priority point order.
Season tickets will be available at www.kstatesports.com/tickets, by calling the K-State Ticket Office at 800-221-CATS (2287), or in-person at the Bramlage Coliseum ticket office from 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.
K-State has been among the top schools in the country in attendance, ranking 18th last year in average attendance with 2,214 fans per game. Of the 13 home matches in 2014, seven saw an attendance of more than 2,100, including two matches with 3,000 or more fans. The Wildcats have been among the nation’s top 25 in attendance for the last five years.
The 2014 K-State Volleyball schedule will be released on Monday, April 14, starting with the announcement of the Wildcats’ Big 12 schedule. On Tuesday, April 15, the non-conference portion of the 2014 slate will be revealed.
