MANHATTAN, Kan. – Volleyball season is fast approaching, and fans who wish to utilize their athletic department priority points to purchase reserved season tickets will have until 5:30 p.m. Monday to do so. Season ticket holders from last year’s historic run to the Sweet 16 should contact the K-State Ticket Office to retain their seats from last season, while new season ticket holders who purchase by Monday will be contacted in order of priority points over the next two weeks for their seat assignment. Season tickets will remain available through August and will be distributed on a first-come first-served basis following priority seat assignments.
General Admission bench season tickets are currently on sale to all fans and are available for only $30 each when purchasing four or more season tickets. Reserved Chairback seats are available exclusively to Ahearn Fund members at $85 each. Fans can join the Ahearn Fund for a minimum donation of $50. Cat Cushion balcony seating is $65 for adults and just $55 for youth, senior citizens, faculty/staff and military.
Season tickets are available by calling the ticket office at 800-221-CATS, online at kstatesports.com or in person at the Bramlage Coliseum Ticket Office between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Fans interested in purchasing chairback seats should reserve a Cat Cushion or General Admission season ticket and note a request to upgrade. Upgrade requests will be processed in athletic department priority point order, which accumulates points for Ahearn Fund membership donations and season ticket purchases, following the July 2 deadline.
The 2012 season will feature 15 home matches at newly renovated Ahearn Field House. The schedule includes two home tournaments – one additional nonconference tournament than in recent years. Three Wildcat Weekends are sure to bring excitement with fans able to catch the Wildcats in action at Ahearn Field House and Bill Snyder Family Stadium on the same day.
K-State ranked 24th in the nation in attendance in 2011 thanks to the Wildcat faithful packing Ahearn with more than 1,500 fans per contest. With the team returning all seven starters from last year’s team, there is much excitement surrounding the program as the Wildcats look to return to the NCAA Tournament.
Season ticket holders will receive several exclusive benefits this season; including two complimentary guest tickets per account for the home opener against UC Irvine on August 24, an invitation to a season ticket holder appreciation event with the coaching staff and players that same evening, participation in the roll-over ticket program which allows fans to redeem unused game tickets for general admission seats to future matches, as well as a new season ticket referral program that will reward season ticket holders with incentives for generating new season ticket purchases from family, friends and colleagues.
K-State volleyball opens its home schedule on August 24-25 when the Wildcats host the annual Varney’s Invitational. This year’s tournament will welcome UC Irvine, Oakland and Oregon State. The Wildcats will have five home matches against teams that reached the 2011 NCAA Tournament as well.
