With such a reputation for excellence, it's no surprise that K-State's enrollment has surged to an all-time high in recent years. Every county in the state, every state in the nation and numerous countries from around the world are represented by students attending K-State.
The $650 million research facility will provide the country with an urgently needed, state-of-the-art lab to protect the food supply
and agriculture economy.
Construction was also recently completed on K-State's $53.4 million Biosecurity Research Institute, making the University a national leader in the fight against bio terrorism.

The Wildcat volleyball team has been more successful in the classroom
than any other program in the Big 12 since Fritz took over at
K-State. No other Big 12 team has had more Academic All-Big 12
First Team selections than the Wildcats. The success of the
Wildcats in the classroom comes from every player as K-State has
been awarded the AVCA Team Academic Award seven times since
Fritz has been head coach and eight total since the inception of the
award for the 1992-93 academic year. To receive the award a team
must have a cumulative team GPA of 3.30 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
This trend continued in 2010 as outside hitter senior outside hitter JuliAnne Chisholm was recognized for her combined efforts on the court and in the classroom being selected to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America Volleyball Team. Chisholm received third team honors and is the fourth Academic All-American in school history.

Under the Second Wind program, former student-athletes are contacted and encouraged to complete their degree by either returning to Kansas State or attending a college or university close to their residence.
