|Construction on the $75 million West Stadium Center at Bill Snyder Family Stadium is fully underway, and fans attending K-State football games this season will quickly notice major changes to the west side of the facility
As progress continues, K-State Athletics is excited to bring what will be a tremendous facility to Kansas State University and all K-State fans.
As you know, a number of changes will occur around the stadium throughout this year. We ask fans to be patient as we do everything we can to minimize the impact on your gameday experience.
We encourage you to allow plenty of time to access the stadium gates prior to kickoff, as well as review the important items below:
Parking on the west side of the stadium will be unaffected during the 2012 season.
The temporary bleacher sections behind sections 2, 8 and 9 as well as the ADA bunkers on the west side have been removed.
New ADA seating has been installed on the concourse behind sections 3 and 7.
Please review the map to the right as we have repositioned some services and access points, including temporary restrooms, First Aid and Cats Closet retail space.
Fans are encouraged to access the stadium through the gates closest to their seat:
- Sections 1, 2 and 3: Gate B
- Sections 4 and 5: Gate C
- Sections 5 and 6: Gate D
- Sections 6: Gate F
- Sections 7, 8, 9, 10: Gate H
Fans may also utilize the restrooms and concessions that will be open in Bramlage Coliseum when lots open through the second half of each home game.
When completed in time for the 2013 football season, the West Stadium Center will feature superior amenities for all K-State fans. New concessions and restrooms along with an enhanced ticket office will replace the current west side facilities, which were originally built in 1968. Additionally, a new souvenir store and Hall of Honor will be included on the main concourse level.
The seven-story facility built of K-State limestone will serve as the northwest gateway to campus and feature the unique Tailgate Terrace for entertaining on gameday and a dining hall to serve the daily dietary needs of all K-State student-athletes.
As the season progresses, the stadium will continue to transform. It is anticipated by mid-October that steel structures for the north and south sections of the West Stadium Center will begin to take shape. Shortly after the season finale against Texas on December 1, the remaining structures on the west side will be demolished and the center section of the project will be constructed and connected to the north and south towers.
