MANHATTAN, Kan.– Three sophomores on the Kansas State women's golf team – Ella Adams, Darby Deans and Reid Isaac – took home 2018-19 Academic All Big 12 honors, the conference office announced on Thursday.

All three players were named to the first team, the second time in the last three seasons the Wildcats had at least three members on the conference's top academic team.

Along with being successful in the classroom, Isaac ranks second on the team with a 74.72 stroke average with two top-20 finishes. Her season was highlighted by a fifth-place showing at the Bruzzy Challenge last week, an event she finished at 4-under par 212. Deans' top finish this year was a tie for 18that the UT Arlington Invitational.

The sophomore trio were all first-time recipients of the award as freshmen and transfer student-athletes are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. In order to be named to the first team, recipients must maintain a grade point average of 3.20 or better either cumulative or the two previous semesters, and they must have participated in 20 percent of their team's scheduled events.

The Wildcats will compete in the 2019 Big 12 Championship, Sunday through Tuesday, at the par-72 6,246-yard Golf Club of Oklahoma in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
