Jeremie Hart is in his first season as a graduate student manager in 2022-23 after being hired by first-year head coach Jerome Tang.
 
A native of Dallas who played 10 seasons overseas, Hart arrives at K-State after serving the past two seasons (2020-22) as a student assistant coach for head coach Clif Carroll at Division III Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas, where he finished his bachelor’s degree in general studies in May 2022.
 
During his time at Mary Hardin-Baylor, the Cru posted a combined 44-7 (.863) overall record, including a 28-3 mark and a trip to the NCAA Division III Elite Eight in 2021-22. It marked just the school’s third-ever trip to the national quarterfinals and the first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2013.
 
While at UMHB, Hart worked with two-time All-American Josiah Johnson, who finished seventh in scoring (24.4 ppg.) in the Division III ranks in 2021-22 and tied the school record with 53 points in 2020-21. Johnson was a First Team All-American and the American Southwest Conference Player of the Year in 2021-22. He also helped train Ty Prince, who owns three of the four triple-doubles in school history and was the ASC West Division Newcomer of the Year and a First Team All-ASC selection in 2021-22.
 
During the abbreviated COVID-19 season of 2020-21, Hart helped the Cru post a 16-4 overall record, including a perfect 13-0 mark in American Southwest Conference play. Johnson finished third nationally in scoring (29.3 ppg.) and was a D3Hoops.com Third Team All-American.
 
In addition to his work at Mary-Hardin Baylor, Hart helped train several NBA players during the summers of 2021 and 2022, including NBA pre-draft workouts.
 
Hart played professionally for 10 years (2010-20) for teams on four different continents (Africa, Asia, North America and South America), including a two-year stint playing for Frayles De Guasave in CIBACOPA, the top league in Mexico.
 
Upon retirement, Hart began his coaching career as an assistant coach with the London (Ontario) Lightning in the National Basketball League of Canada (NBL).
 
Hart started his college career at McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas in 2007-08, averaging 12 points and 3 assists in helping the Highlanders to an 18-8 record and an appearance in the 2008 Region V Tournament. He then transferred to Washburn University in Topeka, Kan., averaging 5.2 points and 2.8 rebounds for K-State alumnus and head coach Bob Chipman in 2008-09.
 
Hart finished up his college career playing for head coach Matt Garnett at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas in 2009-10. He averaged 20.6 points and 9.0 rebounds in helping the War Hawks to a 17-9 record and a trip to the American Southwest Conference Tournament. He was named the ASC West Division Newcomer of the Year and was a member of the All-South Region and First Team All-ASC teams. His 536 points in 2009-10 still rank 20th on the school’s single season scoring list.
 
Hart started a youth organization -- “Hustle with Hart” – in South Dallas which brings in current NBA and professional players to speak to kids about basketball, education and life.
 
Hart, and wife, Latrice, have six children, Angel, Kamiya, Kershauna, Jaden, Johnny and Demorie.
