Dr. Annie Weese is a native of Salina, KS where she attended Sacred Heart High School. She was a multi-sport All-State athlete for her four years there. She then played softball and basketball at Seward County Community College where her basketball team had a combined record of 72-1 and one National Championship. She completed her college career at the University of Notre Dame where she played on two Sweet Sixteen basketball teams for head coach Muffet McGraw. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with her master’s degree in Community Counseling and a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology. In her current role as the Director of Mental Wellness & Sport Psychology for K-State Athletics, and as a Licensed Psychologist, she serves the mental, emotional, and performance needs of the Wildcats. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Biofeedback, ACT, and Mindfulness in her work supporting the K-State student-athletes.
