CAREER: A six-year performer who was one of the main team leaders during K-State’s Big 12 Championship run in 2022...  A four-time Academic All-Big 12 performer who earned first-team honors his final three seasons.
 
2022: Started all 14 games, totaling a career-high 32 tackles to go along with 3.5 tackles for loss, a sack and a fumble recovery as he earned Honorable Mention All-Big 12 accolades... Registered a career-high eight tackles against Texas – which included a career-best five solo stops – while he also recovered a fumble... Teamed with linebacker Daniel Green for an overtime fourth-down stop inside the one-yard line in the Big 12 Championship against TCU... Elected a team captain... A First Team Academic All-Big 12 honoree.
 
2021: Started all 13 games, totaling 21 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks en route to Honorable Mention All-Big 12 honors from the league’s coaches... Tallied a season-high three tackles against Nevada, West Virginia and LSU... His contest against the Mountaineers included a season-best 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack... Also tallied sacks against Stanford and Texas... Earned First Team Academic All-Big 12 accolades.
 
2020: An eight-game starter at defensive tackle who started for the first time in his career... Came into the season with six career tackles and a tackle for loss in seven games, but tallied 22 stops, 6.0 TFLs and 1.5 sacks... Set a career high with 2.0 TFLs against Oklahoma State... Posted a career-high four tackles at Baylor, which included a TFL... Recorded his first-career sack against Arkansas State as he teamed with Drew Wiley to become the first pair of Wildcat interior defensive linemen to have a sack in the same game since 2017... A First Team Academic All-Big 12 performer.
 
2019: Saw action in six games as a reserve defensive tackle, collecting five stops and a tackle for loss... Had a career high two tackles against Bowling Green and Oklahoma State, the former in which he recorded his TFL... Earned Second Team Academic All-Big 12 honors.
 
2018: Played in one game as he recorded a tackle against UTSA.
 
2017: Redshirted.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner at West Forsyth under head coaches Adam Clark and Frank Hepler, helping the Wolverines advance to three state playoff appearances... Named the 21st-best strongside defensive end in the Class of 2017 by 247Sports... An All-Southeast Region pick by PrepStar... Picked up honorable mention all-state honors from the Georgia Sports Writers Association as a junior in 2015... Also earned first team all-county and all-region accolades... Named a first team all-county performer by the Forsyth County News... Totaled 217 tackles in his career, including 80 tackles and 11 sacks as a junior en route to the school’s single-season sack record... Totaled 31 TFLs and 20 sacks in his career... Also a member of the school’s fishing team, placing third at the state championship in 2013 and fourth in 2014.
 
PERSONAL: Eli David Huggins was born July 29, 1998, in St. Louis, Missouri... Son of Jeff and Heather Huggins... Has three siblings, Hannah, Jake and Abby... Brother, Jake, is a fullback for the Wildcats... A two-time K-State graduate who is working on his master’s in data analytics.
