HIGH SCHOOL: Played at McPherson under head coach Jace Pavlovich… Helped the Bullpups earn an 11-1 record and a trip to the state semifinals in 2018… Earned first team all-state honors as a senior from the Topeka Capital-Journal, Wichita Eagle and Kansas Football Coaches Association, while he was an honorable mention pick by the former two organizations as a junior… Hauled in 121 catches for 1,856 yards and 27 touchdowns over his junior and senior seasons… Prepped with current Wildcat Cody Stufflebean.
PERSONAL: Gabe David Hoover was born September 25, 2000, in Newton, Kansas… Son of Jason and Tish Hoover, both of whom attended K-State… Has three siblings… Majoring in finance.
