Thompson produced another stellar performance in the victory over the Jayhawks in Lawrence. The quarterback rushed for a career-best 127 yards with three rushing scores in the 38-10 win. Thompson has seven rushing scores over the past two weeks. He added 129 passing yards on the day.
Trey Dishon - Football
Dishon contributed four tackles, including a pair of sacks, in Saturday’s win over Kansas. He helped the K-State defense limit Kansas to 241 yards of offense. The Jayhawks managed to convert just 2-of-10 on third downs, and the ‘Cats finished with four sacks and two interceptions in the road victory.
Gloria Mutiri - Volleyball
The sophomore tied for the team lead with 13 kills in Saturday’s 3-2 victory over TCU. Mutiri finished with just one attacking error and hit .444 in the match. Mutiri is third on the team in 2019 with 245 kills.
Aly Rocha - Soccer
The senior defender scored the first goal of her K-State career in Thursday’s match against Texas Tech. Rocha sent in a rocket from the left wing during the second half, and a fantastic save by the Texas Tech goalkeeper is all that kept her from a second goal later in the match. Rocha appeared in 40 matches (32 starts) in her K-State career.
Jaybe Shufelberger - Women’s Cross Country
Shufelberger, a freshman from Topeka, finished 14th for the ‘Cats at the Big 12 Championships in Waco. Her time of 21:04.9 in the 6k race led her to the highest finish for the K-State women since 2015.
Jackson Schroeder - Men’s Cross Country
Schroeder was the top finisher for the K-State men at the Big 12 Championships over the weekend in Waco. The sophomore from Manhattan finished 22nd with a time of 24:21.2 in the 8k race.
