Manhattan, Kan. - Josh Scobey of Kansas State was named SBC Big 12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week for games of Oct. 27, the league office announced on Monday.
Scobey, a senior running back from Oklahoma City, rushed for a career-high 204 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries in Kansas State's 40-6 Homecoming victory over Kansas. The rushing total was fourth-best in school history and Scobey became only the fifth Wildcat to have 200 yards rushing in a game.
It was the second time this season Scobey has earned Offensive Player of the Week, has he was selected after his effort against USC on Sept. 8. He joined Nebraska's Eric Crouch and Iowa State running back Ennis Haywood as the only offensive players to have won twice this season.
Scobey shared his weekly honor with Nebraska linebacker Jamie Burrow, who was the Defensive Player of the Week, and Nebraska punter Kyle Larson, who was the special teams recipient.
Kansas State plays at Iowa State next Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
