Pasco Leads Kansas State Men Past Lipscomb

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Senior Pervis Pasco had 18 points and 12 rebounds to lift Kansas State to an 88-64 victory over Lipscomb in a men's college basketball game played Friday before 6,648 at Bramlage Coliseum.
The Wildcats' third straight victory lifted them to 5-4 on the season, while the Bisons fell to 3-7.
Jarrett Hart hit 7 of 8 shots from the floor en route to 14 points and dished out a team-high eight assists. Gilson DeJesus had 12 points and Marques Hayden chipped in with 10 points and three blocked shots off the Kansas State bench.
Ryan Roller was the only Lipscomb player who scored in double figures with 11 points.
The Wildcats led 17-16 midway through the first half when DeJesus hit a three-pointer, Frank Richards hit a three and DeJesus followed with a bucket to put K-State ahead by nine with 6:57 left. The Wildcat lead grew to 37-23 by halftime, as DeJesus scored 10 first-half points for K-State.
K-State's lead was 48-28 with 16:36 left to play when the Bisons made a brief run. A three-pointer by Matt Jarboe with 12:18 left pulled Lipscomb within 54-41. But the Wildcats scored the next eight points over a 90-second stretch, pushing the edge back over 20 points.
Lipscomb pulled within 64-50 with 7:57 remaining, but could get no closer down the stretch.
Kansas State held the Bisons to just 37 percent shooting from the floor, the seventh opponent in the last eight games the Wildcats have held under 40-percent shooting.K-State held a 46-32 edge in rebounding and finished by hitting 52 percent from the floor and 54 percent from three-point range.
Pasco's 18 points were a season-high, and his double-double was his second this season in as many games.
Kansas State plays on Sunday afternoon at home against Oregon State, with tipoff at 1 p.m.
