* Kansas State started senior Larry Reid, and freshman Nick Williams at theguard positions and juniors Matt Siebrandt, Quentin Buchanan, and PervisPasco at the forward slots... It marked the eighth straight contest that theWildcats have used this line-up... This starting line-up is now 3-5 on theseason... Pasco has started all 20 games this season.
* Kansas now leads the all-time series with Kansas State, 162-88, in aseries that dates back to 1907... The teams have met at least twice every yearsince 1929... The Jayhawks hold a 16-0 advantage since the inception of theBig 12 Conference play in 1997 and have won 23 straight meetings... K-State'slast win against KU came in a 68-64 upset of the top-ranked Jayhawks on Jan.17, 1994.
* Kansas is the only Big 12 school to have a winning record against theWildcats when playing in Manhattan... The Jayhawks have won 19 in a row inManhattan and have never lost in Bramlage Coliseum (14-0)... K-State's lastwin in Manhattan came in a 58-57 triumph on Jan. 29, 1983.
* Tonight's attendance of 12,238 was the largest of the season and the mostto watch a home game since Kansas and Kansas State collided before 13,515 onFeb. 12, 2000.
* Kansas State shot 46.7 percent (28-of-60) for the game, which is theeighth time this season that the Wildcats have shot 45 percent or better ina game.
* Kansas State continues to shoot the ball well... In the last three games,the Wildcats have connected on exactly 50.0 percent (78-of-156) of its fieldgoals.
* Kansas State held Kansas' Drew Gooden in check for most of the game... TheWildcats held Gooden to six points (15) under his average of 21.3 points pergame and six rebounds (5) under his average of 11.0 rebounds per game... Itwas just the fifth time that Gooden has now scored a double-double.
* Larry Reid led both teams with a season-best 27 points on 9-of-17shooting... It was his highest point total since he had 30 points against IowaState on 2/3/01... It was the eighth straight game that Reid has scored indouble figures... Reid also chipped in six assists and six rebounds... It markedthe 15th time this season that Reid has posted five or more assists in game...Reid's six rebounds tied his season-high (also had six rebounds against TroyState on 11/16/01.
* Phineas Atchison scored in double figures for the seventh time in the last10 games with 16 points... It was his highest-point total since he had aseason-best 17 points against Missouri (1/26/02).
* Kansas' 51 points in the first half were the most by a K-State opponentthis season... The 21-point deficit was the second-largest of the season andthe largest since being down 22 points at Northwestern (44-22) on Dec. 8,2001... The Jayhawks shot a Wildcat-opponent high 57.1 percent (20-of-35) fromthe field in the half.
